The neighborhood’s namesake, Franklin Park is 100 acres of majestic park land in the heart of the city. The park is home to the Franklin Park Conservatory where visitors can enjoy strolling through lush plant life on even the most dreary winter day.

Neighborhood residents can easily access the Alum Creek Greenway Trail at the Wolfe and Academy Park trailhead.

Wolfe Park and Academy Park also feature tennis courts, soccer fields, baseball/softball diamonds, and an athletic complex with indoor basketball and volleyball courts.

Novice gardeners will enjoy Scotts Miracle-Gro Community Garden Campus at Franklin Park which serves as a laboratory for community gardening. There is a gardening library that is open to the public and gardening classes and workshops are held throughout the year.
